English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts prodigy Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the upcoming Young Sports Star of the Year award.

The trio have been celebrated for their outstanding achievements over the past 12 months.

Agyemang helped the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a record-breaking innings.

Littler won the award in 2024 after his sensational debut year.

The three contenders were revealed during a live broadcast on a national radio breakfast show.

This year's winner will be unveiled on the Sports Personality of the Year show on the 18th of December.

The ceremony will be televised from 7 PM GMT.

Michelle Agyemang

Age: 19 Sport: Football

A mere three months after her international debut, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to winning the Euros.

She came off the bench to score vital last-gasp goals in both the quarter-final and semi-final.

Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.

Subsequently, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the finest emerging star on the continent.

She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women.

Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.

"To be named a finalist for this award is a privilege," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."

Littler's Profile

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler's 2025 began in spectacular fashion as - aged 17 - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.

He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.

His success continued - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the maiden occasion.

At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, shattering the previous record.

"To receive a nomination for the honour once more is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a special memory for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."

Davina Perrin

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and burst into the spotlight with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.

Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.

It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.

Perrin came in second place in the season's run tally and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.

"I'm truly honoured to be shortlisted for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it motivates more young females to get into cricket."
