The Renowned Musician Calls On Support to Send Together for Palestine Track to UK Festive Top Spot.

A campaign is aiming to launch a cultural melody to the Christmas number one spot. The campaign hopes to deliver assistance to people in Gaza while also spotlighting Palestinian cultural expression.

An Opportunity for Support and an "Unlikely Coup"

Musician and artist Brian Eno, who features on the track, stated that the song titled Lullaby represents a chance to support Palestinians over the Christmas period. He acknowledged the potential for an unexpected chart success.

“That would be amazing if that occurred, yes,” he commented. “I’m not gonna be completely let down if it doesn’t, festive releases are a category of their own.”

Powerful Theme of Dignity and Freedom

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who features in the reimagining of a traditional lullaby called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the track's defiant core message.

“It occupies a very special place for many individuals,” Barghouti said. “It’s basically saying that I would rather die in dignity than live a life without freedom. That is the core idea of the song; we desire to exist a respectful existence that we are entitled to as Palestinians.”

Production History and Contributing Musicians

The single was laid down after a large-scale benefit event held in late summer. First conceived to be done as a live recording, the rendition was cut from the show due to time constraints.

The diverse array of musicians featured on Lullaby includes a group of prominent voices from the scene. All participated in the benefit event, which managed to collect a considerable total for relief efforts.

Production and Release

Lullaby was produced by a team of talented individuals. The single blends a combination of the original Arabic with freshly written English words.

The team running the campaign have clarified that their aim is to collect the highest amount for a dedicated fund. These resources will be allocated to Palestinian causes through an partnering humanitarian organization.

“We don’t have a rigid aim,” a spokesperson explained. “We will pursue as much as possible. Of course, the more the merrier. All proceeds are directed out to Gaza.”

The context in the area was noted for its widespread damage, with a huge proportion of property reportedly destroyed or damaged.

“In that context, a handful of millions is unlikely to make that much difference. But I think what does make a difference is primarily making this cause better known and showing the human dimension of the story.”

The single 'Lullaby' is launching at the end of the week. Additionally, a video of the charity concert will be made ready to watch on a major video platform from mid-December.
