Iran Reports Assault on US Base in Bahrain, Amid Regional Military Operations.
Tehran reports attacking a US naval base in Manama, as Iran launched missile attacks throughout the Middle East in response for a large-scale and ongoing offensive targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.
Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an area in the area of the command center of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The extent of any impact is not yet known and the American officials has remained silent.
Regional Interceptions
In other parts of the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Kuwait - all home to US military bases - reported they have engaged and destroyed incoming projectiles in their territorial skies.
In Doha, the Qatari Ministry of Defence stated it had intercepted a number of projectiles seemingly aimed at the Al Udeid Air Base, the biggest US military installation in the region.
Operation "Truthful Promise 4"
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated it was striking American facilities and interests as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the strikes on the Islamic Republic carried out by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday morning.
That preceding assault - launched at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far focused on areas associated with the the regime, with US President Donald Trump encouraging the people of Iran to revolt against the leadership.
Regional Fallout
In Israel, air raid sirens sounded nationwide after the Israel Defense Forces reported it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.
The defence ministry of the UAE announced that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"Emirati air defenses dealt with the missiles with notable success and successfully intercepted a number of missiles," the statement continued.
It said debris landed in a neighborhood in the capital, causing some structural damage and the death of one civilian.
The United States Air Force is stationed at the Al Dhafra base, south of Abu Dhabi, along with the UAE Air Force.
