Passionate supporters of the actress are urging that a individual who jumped a barrier and seized the actress during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be detained or removed from Singapore.

A widely shared footage depicts the Australian man pushing past photographers and rushing toward Grande while the actors proceeded down a event pathway flanked by onlookers.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the shocked actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being escorted out of the event by event staff.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram recently that he was "free after being detained", though official papers showed that he was due to attend court on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was charged.

Pattern of Incidents

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram account includes recordings of him disturbing other high-profile occasions, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney performance in recently and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers event in the area last December.

"Measures must be taken taken against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," stated an Instagram commenter, in a reply to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" another Instagram user remarked.

Supporters Express Concern Over Grande's Safety

Many fans criticized Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had revealed experiencing PTSD after a devastating incident at the end of her May 2017 performance in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" commented one more response on Instagram.

A number of supporters also faulted security officers at the gathering for not being vigilant enough; while different individuals demanded digital services to ban Mr Wen's videos.

Response and Premiere Information

In videos circulating online, Grande looked surprised when she was touched by the man. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted reassuring her while Mr Wen was escorted away by security.

Grande has not commented on the incident, and the remaining proceedings continued without further issues.
